Dr. Jamie Ellis
Sr. Pastor
Pastor Jamie Ellis grew up in Fort Oglethorpe, graduating from Lakeview High School. He was raised, Baptized and Ordained in the Baptist Church and attended Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, California, earning a Master of Divinity, Master of Theology and Doctor of Philosophy in Historical Theology. After Seminary, he served in the United States Air Force as a Chaplain. After completing this service, returned home to the Chattanooga area to complete a Clinical Pastoral Care Residency at Erlanger Hospital and completed Board Certification as a Clinical Chaplain. For the next twelve years, he served Churches in Youth and Family Ministries before returning to Chaplain ministry serving with Hospice patients. After a several years volunteering with Ringgold United Methodist he was appointed to a part-time Minister of Connections position. This lead to a part-time appointment to Woodstation United Methodist Church in 2022. In 2023 the Church disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church and appointed Pastor Ellis to stay with them as they instituted a new Church Charter as Woodstation Church.
Pastor Ellis is married to Kerri Ellis and they have two children Blane and Harper and a daughter in law, Tatianna.
